With this piece, I got to experiment with a different tone and style than is typical for me. These characters of mine are dog-ified computer viruses who react quite differently to breaking from their coding, gaining sentience and becoming aware of the world. They were both inspired by the song mentioned at the top of this description.

The work itself is meant to capture the essence of each character (while reflecting the back-and-forth of the male and female vocals in the song), as well as leaning into a particular nostalgic, blocky and pixelated feel.
